Virtue’s focus is to help adults with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives while promoting both physical and emotional wellness. We at Virtue are driven by a deep belief that those with developmental disabilities have the right to try to reach their full potential and live as independently as possible.  With dignity and respect, Virtue compassionately strives toward making this belief a reality.

Virtue’s devotion to service and support allows adults with disabilities to enjoy active, healthy, and productive lives.  We strive to assist them in achieving daily goals in the most beneficial and relaxing way in order to reach self-fulfillment.  By implementing the most exciting and creative breakthroughs in day habilitation wellness activities, Virtue nurtures people, expands opportunities, and enhances the lives of those with disabilities.

Our total commitment to providing the very best day habilitation services to the people we serve makes Virtue the leader for developmental wellness in Texas.

Staff and Training

Virtue has developed a very thorough orientation process that allows our staff to enter into their job with a strong foundation and full confidence.  We have ongoing training going above and beyond the industry average and we encourage all staff to be Certified Nurses Assistants.  Our staff has more experience than the majority of other day facilities. A strong factor in hiring a staff member is their caring character.  Our interviewing process is extensive so that we can hire a great staff and have the best fit possible.  This is beneficial to our members in that it reduces staff turnover and the necessity of having to rebuild comfortable relationships between them and a new staff member.

While the idea of “learn as you go” is very common in this industry, we at Virtue believe that it creates confusion and potential awkwardness with our members.

We excel in teaching our staff how to get to know our special guests, their needs, and how to focus on their interests with the upmost of compassion and patience.  Our leaders know that it takes time for members to become fully comfortable during the relationship building process.  We expect this; therefore we show endless patience along the way.  Our focus is on each and every individual that has decided to join our team and their individual needs.  For these reasons, Virtue’s staff is consistently complimented by parents, caseworkers, and members.
